Richard Blumenthal Supports Cap and Trade

Congressman John Larson visited New Haven's Blue State Coffee House today from 5-8:30pm. He has got to be one of the most accessible congressmen in the entire country.

During the last 25 minutes of the meeting Richard Blumenthal popped in to say hello.

I was able to ask him his position on Federal Cap and Trade legislation.

He reminded me that it was he who sued Bush's EPA along with several other states, to make the EPA treat CO2 as a pollutant under the clean air act.

He said he supports federal cap and trade legislation in favor of EPA regulation. This way, the EPA regulations don't get overturned every time a republican is elected President. Folks concerned about climate change would be smart to campaign for Blumenthal on this issue to counteract the effects of the teabaggers... er, partiers.
