Last night the Wilton Public Library held an event where Congressman James Inslee spoke eloquently about the need for the United States to disentangle itself from dirty, expensive fossil fuels. His main argument is that a green technology initiative will create jobs and spur economic growth.
I purchased his book and when I finish it I'll most likely post a book recommendation! I started reading it last night and so far so excellent!
